In the January-September period of the current year, non-financial foreign direct investment (FDI) by Chinese companies totaled $78.03 billion, down 41.9 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In the January-September period this year, contracts for foreign projects signed by Chinese companies were worth a total value of $168.2 billion, up 13.8 percent year on year.
Meanwhile, in the January-September period, Chinese companies made new investments worth a total of $9.6 billion in the 57 countries in the One Belt, One Road area, accounting for 12.3 percent of the total investment in the given period, increasing by 4.0 percentage points compared to the same period last year.
