No conclusion between Egypt and EU yet for AD duty

Negotiations between Eurofer/EU Commission and the Egyptian Economic Ministry have broken down and no solution has yet been encountered for the threat of anti-dumping duty implementation against Egyptian mill EZDK. The mill is looking at a minimum 20% duty but according to unconfirmed reports, it is asking for a minimum quota of 600'000 mts per year in exchange of a price undertaking agreement. Due to this threat of anti-dumping duty, EZDK previously decided not to offer coverage for duty which resulted in EU buyers' withdrawal of their support from the mill.
