NMDC’s iron ore output increases in April-December

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first nine months of the financial year 2014-15 (started April 1) it produced 22.5 million mt of iron ore, registering an increase of 11.55 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 22.8 million mt, up 8.05 percent year on year.
 
During the first nine months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 7.07 million mt, up 5.8 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines increased by 14.4 percent to 15.43 million mt, both year on year.
 
NMDC also stated that it has kept its domestic iron ore prices for January unchanged compared to its December prices.
