NMDC’s iron ore output decreases by 10.75 percent in April-December

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that in the first nine months of the financial year 2015-16 (started April 1) it produced 20.08 million mt of iron ore, registering a decrease of 10.75 percent year on year. The company's iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 20.32 million mt, down 10.87 percent year on year.
 
During the first nine months, NMDC's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines amounted to 11.59 million mt, up 64 percent, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines decreased by 45 percent to 8.49 million mt, both year on year.
