Nippon Steel to acquire semi-finished products

According to statement recently released from Nippon Steel, the company will acquire semi-finished steel products from Sumitomo Metal Industries and Kobe Steel in order to compensate the lack of production due to the explosion, which took place last month at its Nagoya works. It is stated that, the company has been able to recover 90% of its operations, however its thin-sheet output has dropped fairly. Sumitomo Metal Industries and Kobe Steel will provide hot rolled coil and cast slab to Nippon Steel to be processed into steel sheet at Nagoya works.
