Ningbo Steel starts hot run test at thin strip facility

Zhejiang Province-based Chinese steelmaker Ningbo Iron and Steel Co., a subsidiary of Chinese steel giant Baosteel, has commenced hot run testing at its new thin steel strip production facility, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Corporation (MCC). Construction work on the project, which commenced on March 2, 2012, was carried out by MCC subsidiary China MCC20 Group Co., Ltd.

The new facility, located in the city of Ningbo in Zhejiang, has a designed annual production capacity of 500,000 mt of steel strip.
