New Zealand’s auto sales gain momentum

New Zealand's vehicle sales rose nearly 20% to 9'109 units in March. This figure includes 6'602 units of passenger cars and 2'507 units of commercial vehicles. New vehicle sales totaled 24'003 units in the first three months of 2005, up 3.1% year on year. Despite higher interest rates and unfavorable economic conditions, auto sales continued to dazzle.
