New Zealand-based Trans-Tasman Resources Limited (TTR) has announced that a second official JORC compliant off-shore iron ore mineral resource has been signed off by Golders Associates, an independent geological consultant.

Accordingly, the updated JORC compliant iron ore in TTR's licensed area is currently equivalent to 200 million mt of iron ore concentrate at 60 percent Fe. This nearly doubles the 102 million mt at 60 percent Fe announced in March this year.

Company manager Paul Berend commented, "As the TTR drilling campaign unfolds, we expect the iron ore resource to increase further in the coming months."
