New mills at Kungang start trial operations

Chinese mill Kungang has started trial production in their new hot strip and cold rolling mills by the end of October, SteelOrbis is reported. The capacity of the new hot strip mill is reported as 800'000 mt of hot rolled coils per year and the production will be for 1.50 mm thickness and up with widths ranging between 600-1600 mm. On the other hand the new cold rolling mill has a capacity of 500'000 mt per year, and the production range will be 0.20–2.00 mm for thickness, and 900–1524 mm for width.
