Vincenzo Dimastromatteo took on the role of director of the Taranto-based steel plant Acciaierie d'Italia, formerly ArcelorMittal Italia, on 26 April.
Dimastromatteo, who in the past held the role of production manager of Ferriera di Servola, will report directly to the CEO Lucia Morselli and the technical coordination of engineer Adolfo Buffo. The service order is signed by the director of human resources, Arturo Ferrucci. Dimastromatteo takes over from Loris Pascucci, who became director of special investments in Taranto. In the past, when the Ilva plant was managed by the Riva group, Dimastromatteo directed the blast furnace area of the plant.
ArcelorMittal Italia was renamed Acciaierie d'Italia less than two weeks ago, when Italian state-owned agency Invitalia entered the capital of AM InvestCo Italy with a 38% share, alongside ArcelorMittal with a 62% stake. Based on the agreement signed last December, from 2022 Invitalia will be able to increase its stake to 60%, while ArcelorMittal should invest up to €70 million to maintain a 40% stake and joint control over the company.
