NBS: China’s GDP increases by 7.6 percent in H1

In the first half of the current year, China's gross domestic product (GDP) totaled RMB 24.8009 trillion ($4.05 trillion), up 7.6 percent year on year, according to preliminary data published by China's National Bureau of Statistics on July 15. In particular, China's GDP in the first and second quarters this year indicated respective year-on-year growth rates of 7.7 percent and 7.5 percent. In the first half of the current year, the year-on-year GDP growth rates for China's primary industry (agriculture), secondary industry and service industry were 3.0 percent, 7.6 percent and 8.3 percent respectively. In the second quarter this year, China's GDP was up 1.7 percent compared to the first quarter of the year, according to preliminary figures from the NBS.
