NBS: China’s crude steel output up 6.7 percent in January-November

In the January-November period of the current year, China produced 707.85 million mt of pig iron, up 2.4 percent year on year, while also producing 857.37 million mt of crude steel and 1.01292 billion mt of finished steel, rising by 6.7 percent and 8.3 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 14. 

In November alone, China produced 63.73 million mt of pig iron, up 9.9 percent year on year, while also producing 77.62 million mt of crude steel and 94.24 million mt of finished steel, increasing by 10.8 percent and 11.3 percent year on year, respectively.
