NBS: China’s crude steel output up 5.7 percent in January-November

In November this year, China produced 54.88 million mt of pig iron and 86.85 million mt of finished steel, down 3.5 percent and 2.9 percent year on year, respectively, while producing 66.15 million mt of crude steel, increasing by 2.2 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on December 14.

In the January-November period of the current year, China produced 656.14 million mt of pig iron, 764.8 million mt of crude steel and 972.98 million mt of finished steel, up 2.3 percent, 5.7 percent and 1.1 percent year on year, respectively.
