NBS: China’s crude steel output increases by 9.9 percent in H1

In the January-June period of this year, China produced 404.21 million mt of pig iron, up 7.9 percent year on year, while also producing 492.17 million mt of crude steel and 586.90 million mt of finished steel, rising by 9.9 percent and 11.4 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 15. 

In June alone, China produced 70.14 million mt of pig iron, up 5.8 percent year on year, while also producing 87.53 million mt of crude steel and 107.10 million mt of finished steel, increasing by 10.0 percent and 12.6 percent year on year, respectively.
