In mid-June (June 11-20) this year, the average prices in
China of 16-25 mm HRB 400 rebar, 6.5 mm HPB 300 wire rod, 20 mm Q235 common medium plate, 3 mm Q235 hot rolled sheet, 219 mm x 6 mm seamless pipe and 5 mm x 5 mm angles were recorded at RMB 3,160.7/mt ($515.61/mt), RMB 3,247.9/mt ($529.84/mt), RMB 3,451.8/mt ($563.10/mt), RMB 3,469.2/mt ($565.94/mt), RMB 4,203.3/mt ($685.69/mt) and RMB 3,403.5/mt (555.22) , down RMB 46.4/mt ($7.57/mt), RMB 38.9/mt ($6.35/mt), RMB 15.7/mt ($2.56/mt), RMB 5.4/mt ($0.88/mt), RMB 20.0/mt ($3.26/mt) and RMB 26.1/mt ($4.26/mt), indicating respective declines of 1.4 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.5 percent, 0.2 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.8 percent compared to prices in early June (June 1-10), as announced by
China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on June 24.
