Nanjing Steel posts sharp rise in net profit for 2017

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Nanjing Iron and Steel Co. Ltd (Nanjing Steel) has announced an operating revenue of RMB 37.601 billion ($5.92 billion) for 2017, up 55.54 percent year on year, while it has posted a net profit of RMB 3.2 billion ($0.5 billion) for the year, up sharply from a net profit of RMB 354 million in 2016.
