Nanjing Iron&Steel Group’s revenues rise in Jan-Feb, exports increase

Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steelmaker Nanjing Iron and Steel Group achieved an operating revenue of RMB 22.6 billion ($3.2 billion) in the January-February period this year, up six percent year on year, while recording a gross profit of RMB 660 million ($92.9 million), up 30.0 percent year on year, as reported by local media.

In the given period, Nanjing Iron and Steel Group not only took effective measures for prevention and control of the coronavirus but also managed to improve its operations.

In February alone, Nanjing Iron and Steel exported 85,000 mt of finished steel and received orders for more than 150,000 mt, with both figures reaching the highest levels of the past five years.
