MOT: 37.2% of big road and waterway projects in China resume construction

As of February 22, 359 road and waterway projects under construction in China with total planned investments exceeding RMB 1.0 billion have resumed construction, accounting for 37.2 percent of such projects, as announced by China’s Ministry of Transportation (MOT). In particular, among the projects, the resumption rates of high-speed road, national and provincial road, and water transport projects were 51.1 percent, 26.4 percent and 29.0 percent, respectively.

Moreover, 5,001 enterprises out of 11,854 highway and waterway transport enterprises have resumed their transportation operations. In particular, the resumption rates of road transport enterprises and waterway transport enterprises were 40.4 percent and 50.9 percent, respectively.
