Moldavian Steel Works to cut production in April

Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, has announced that it plans to reduce production of rolled steel to 25,000 mt in the current month of April due to problems with scrap supplies.

In March, MMZ produced 54,231 mt of crude steel and 49,188 mt of rolled steel products, including 26,860 mt of reinforcing bars and 22,130 mt of rods.
