MOF: China issues local government bonds worth $630 billion in 2019

China issued local government bonds worth a total of RMB 4.3624 trillion ($0.63 trillion) in 2019, including new special local government bonds worth RMB 3.0561 trillion ($0.44 trillion), according to China’s Ministry of Finance (MOF).

On January 2, several provinces in China announced the issue of the first batch of new special local government bonds worth a total of RMB 303.4 billion ($43.5 billion), of which RMB 229.3 billion ($32.9 billion) will be issued in the month of January.
