China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has issued a report on China’s foreign trade situation in 2018, stating that in the January-September period of this year China has sought progress while maintaining stability in foreign trade, adding that the US-China trade friction has exerted a limited impact on its foreign trade.

According to the report, China’s foreign trade will maintain a certain growth for the full year of 2018, while in the fourth quarter the growth of China’s imports and exports will likely face a certain challenge due to the high base in the fourth quarter last year.

As for the coming year, the report stated that China’s will face a more serious and complicated situation against the background of a downturn in world economic development and threats from protectionism. The report also called for high-quality development and the lightening of the burden on export enterprises.
