On May 10, China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOC) stated that China will take the necessary countermeasures against the US since it has raised tariffs on Chinese commodities from 10 percent to 25 percent. The 11th round of China-US high-level economic and trade consultations is underway. The MOC said that it hoped that the US and China will meet each other halfway and make joint efforts to solve the existing problems through cooperation and consultation.
