China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (July 15-21) the overall average finished steel prices in China have moved sideways or risen slightly.
In the given week, the average prices in China of high-speed wire rod and welded steel pipe both edged up by 0.1 percent, while the average prices of rebar and steel channels moved on a stable trend, week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased slightly. In particular, the prices of coking coal and thermal coal edged down by 0.3 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal edged up by 0.2 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China rose slightly week on week.
