MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.7 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (August 6-12) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.7 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, seamless steel pipe and steel round bar in China respectively increased by 1.0 percent, 1.0 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent week on week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China rose by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of thermal coal moved up by 0.2 percent, while coking coal prices moved down by 0.1 percent, while the price of anthracite coal remained stable, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 1.0 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) increased by 2.7 percent compared to the previous week.
