China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (September 17-23) the overall average finished steel price in China edged up by 0.4 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, common steel round bar and steel plate in China rose by 0.7 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the price of anthracite coal, coking coal and thermal coal moved up by 0.5 percent, 0.3 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 1.7 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) decreased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week.
