China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 22-28) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.2 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, common medium steel plate and steel channel edged up by 0.4 percent, 0.3 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively, week on week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China moved down by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of both coking coal and thermal coal edged down by 0.5 percent, respectively, while the price of anthracite coal moved up by 0.5 percent, week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China softened by 0.3 percent week on week.
