MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 2.1 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (December 25-31) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 2.1 percent week on week. 

In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, and common steel round bar in China respectively decreased by 3.1 percent, 2.9 percent and 2.5 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged up by 1.1 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) decreased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average prices of coal in China rose by 0.4 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal increased by 0.6 percent and 0.5 percent, respectively, while the price of coking coal remained stable, all week on week.
