MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.8 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (March 12-18) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.8 percent week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar, hot rolled steel sheet and common steel round bar in China respectively decreased by 1.1 percent, 1.2 percent, 0.7 percent and 0.7 percent, week on week. 

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China edged down by 0.7 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 1.1 percent compared to the previous week. 

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the prices of anthracite coal and thermal coal declined by 0.2 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, while the price of coking coal rose by 0.7 percent, all week on week.
