On December 30, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (December 22-28) the overall average finished steel price in China declined by 0.7 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of both rebar and hot rolled strip in China declined by 0.9 percent week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) decreased by 2.6 percent week on week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal and anthracite coal decreased by 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent respectively, while thermal coal prices remained unchanged, all week on week.
