MOC: Average finished steel price in China declines slightly

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (May 13-19) the overall average finished steel price in China declined slightly week on week.  

In the given week, average prices of rebar, high-speed wire rod, common steel medium plate and steel channel edged down by 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent, 0.4 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, week on week.  

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China fluctuated within a limited range. In particular, the prices of thermal coal and anthracite coal moved down by 0.3 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the price of coking coal moved up by 1.2 percent, week on week.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China moved up by a slight margin week on week.
