Mobarakeh Steel to reach annual crude steel output capacity of 5.6 million mt by Sept

Iranian steelmaker Mobrakeh Steel's new managing director Mohammad Masoud Samienejad has said that Mobarakeh Steel will reach an annual output capacity of 5.6 million mt of crude steel in the middle of the next Iranian year (September 2011). He added, "We are targeting to raise our production to 11.2 million mt per year by [Iranian year] 1393 [March 2014 - March 2015]."

Mobarakeh Steel, excluding Saba Plant, produced about 2.94 million mt of crude steel in first eight months of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2010), according to the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
