Mobarakeh Steel targets 10 million mt production capacity

SteelOrbis has learned that Iranian steelmaker Mobarakeh Steel Company (Mobarakeh) is planning to reach an annual production capacity of 10 million mt over the next few years.

As a result of its current upgrade project, Mobarakeh Steel aims to increase its annual capacity by about 1.2-1.4 million mt. In addition, the company is planning to build two new plants; the Shahid Kharrazi Project will have an annual capacity of 2 million mt, while the other plant will have an annual capacity of 700,000 mt
 
"Mobarakeh has been designed for the production of 10 million ton per year and it will certainly reach that capacity by the implementation of its development projects," said Ahmad Ali Haratinik, Vice President of Iran's Ministry of Industries and Mines, during his visit to Mobarakeh Steel.
