MMK to up 2007 finished output to 12.4 million mt

The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it intends to increase its finished steel production to 12.4 million metric tons in 2007.

In addition, the company said that it is aiming to reduce the crude steel - finished steel production ratio to no more than 1,080 kg per one metric ton of finished steel products.

As the company announced previously, MMK is planning to raise its crude steel output to 15 million metric tons in 2007.
