The Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that last week the mill produced a trial batch of high strength steel (strength class X70 and X80) for Volzhsky Pipe Plant (TMK Group).

The production of X70 and X80 strength class steel was possible due to reconstruction of the mill 2000 at MMK flat producing workshop No.10.

The trial party was already sent to Volzhsky and will be used for production of spiral seam pipes.
