The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it has been carrying out preparation work on the construction site of its new plate mill 5000 since March of the current year.
During this time, the company has already removed the bloom caster No.2, a stripping unit, and a gas-recovery station.
In total, in order to construct its new mill, MMK is to dismantle 150 administrative and production facilities.
