MMK issues Jan-Feb production data
The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has released its production results for the first two months of 2007. MMK saw an 11.1 percent year on year rise in its crude steel production to 2.1 million metric tons, a 12.7 percent increase in its finished steel products output to 1.9 million, but a 4.5 percent decrease in its agglomerate production to 1.7 million metric tons, in the first two months of 2007. In addition, during the given period, MMK produced 856,700 metric tons of coke and 1.52 million metric tons of pig iron. In February alone, MMK produced 787,100 metric tons of agglomerate, 401,300 metric tons of coke, 708,200 metric tons of pig iron, 958,800 metric tons of crude steel and 924,400 metric tons of finished steel products.
