The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has released its production results for the first half of 2007.
Accordingly, during the given period the mill recorded a 9.4 percent increase in its crude steel production to 6.48 million metric tons and a 9.3 percent rise in its finished steel production to 5.99 million metric tons.
However, MMK saw a 9.2 percent decrease in its agglomerate production, a 5.5 percent decrease in pig iron production and a 5.8 percent decrease in its coke output. The respective figures in metric tons were 4.95 million, 4.7 million and 2.6 million.
In the first six months of 2007, MMK saw a reduction in the export share in its overall sales to 36.1 percent.
