Mittal to complete Huta Czestochowa acquisition soon
Mittal Steel Company announced yesterday that it made progress with the negotiations regarding Polish steel producer Huta Czestochowa takeover. The agreement regarding the acquisition is expected to be signed by April 29, 2005. The company officials stated that talks with the union concerning social package are continuing and negotiations are progressing as planned, contrary to recent speculations in the media.
