José Antonio Rivero Larrea, Chairman of Minera Autlan, told media this week that unfair competition in the production of ferroalloys in the US would slow Minera Autlan’s sales in the US by up to 20 percent.

Additionally, he acknowledged that US domestic production along with the increasing imports of ferroalloys from India, Korea and Ukraine engaging in unfair trade practices are hampering the Mexican producer’s market share in the US.

This year Minera Autlan aims to sell 150,000 tons of ferroalloys in the US.
