Mexican ferroalloy and manganese producer Minera Autlán announced Friday that it expects a 12 percent decrease in its sales for the third quarter of 2013 due to the low value of ferroalloys in international markets.

However, in a statement sent to the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), the company also said that the third quarter was characterized by stability in manganese prices despite an uncertainty in economic development.

But without an increase in value, the company would not be able to reach the figures reported in 2012, when sales totaled 1.07 billion pesos (US$891 million).
