Mexican longs steelmaker Talleres y Aceros (Tyasa) has started up a new galvanizing product line under the Galvasteel product name, it said on Friday.

SteelOrbis has learned the new galvanizing product line will produce cold-rolling, galvanizing and painting-related products. Tyasa did not disclose the product line’s capacity.

In 2017, Primetals provided a billet caster and a new castrip-based coil production line for Tyasa’s Ixtaczoquitlan mill.
