Mexico’s Minera Autlan sees profit rise in Q2

Mexican manganese and ferroalloys producer Minera Autlan saw its net profit more than double in Q2 this year, the company said this week. Net profit in Q2 rose to $25.1 million, from $10.9 million in the same quarter of the year prior.

“(The $25 million profit) was the best (we had) in the past 10 years,” the company said while releasing its quarterly results.

Minera Autlan said net profit in H1 was $28.5 million, up from $25.2 million in H1 2017.

Net revenues in Q2 grew 12.5 percent, year-on-year, to $101.1 million. The Mexican ferroalloys producer said EBITDA in Q2 dropped nearly 6 percent, year-on-year, to $25.9 million.
