Mexico's iron pellet production rises 8.7 percent in October

Mexico’s iron pellet production in October rose 8.7 percent year-on-year, country’s statistics agency, Inegi, said on Tuesday.

Mexico’s iron pellet output increased to 722,276 mt in October, from 664,652 in the same period of the year prior.

In the cumulative period of January to October, iron pellet production improved 0.6 percent, year-on-year.

Inegi said seasonally adjusted data for the month of October indicate that the nation’s mining and metals production index declined 2.6 percent, month-on-month, but improved 2.3 percent in the year-on-year analysis.
