Mexico's Industrias CH reports lower profit in Q2

Mexican steelmaker Industrias CH (ICH) said net profit in Q2 decreased 50 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 466 million ($24.03 million). Net revenues in Q2 reached MXN 9.95 billion ($513.2 million), 4 percent down, year-on-year. Steel sales volumes in Q2 rose 2 percent, year-on-year, to 655,000 mt.

The company reported a gross profit of MXN 1.39 billion ($72.1 million), 15 percent down, year-on-year. EBITDA in Q2 was MXN 1.30 billion ($67 million), 17 percent down, year-on-year.

As for H1, ICH’s net profit fell 50 percent, year-on-year, to MXN 996 million ($51.3 million).
