Mexico's industrial production drops in April

Mexican industrial output in April declined 0.4 percent, year-on-year, but increased 1.5 percent, month-on-month, according to a report from local statistics agency Inegi released Tuesday.

According to government data, industrial production in the Mexican mining sector in April decreased 8.2 percent, year-on-year, and 0.6 percent, month-on-month.

Inegi said industrial production in the local manufacturing segment in April rose 3.1 percent, year-on-year, and 0.6 percent, month-on-month.
