Mexico’s automotive export value grows 65 percent in January

The value of exports from the automotive industry in Mexico exported $13.60 billion in January, 64.9 percent more than in January 2022, reveal preliminary data from the national statistics agency Inegi.

The automotive industry increased its participation by 7.6 percentage points in Mexico’s total exports, increasing from 24.3 percent in January 2022 to 31.9 percent in the first month of 2023.

According to preliminary data from Inegi, the automotive industry exported $11.20 billion to the United States, an amount that represented 82.4 percent of the industry.
