Mexico wants to harmonize steel tariffs

Mexico's government wants to harmonize steel and textile tariffs among the three North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) member nations (Mexico, Canada, US), Brazilian sources report. NAFTA representatives discussed the possibility of harmonizing steel and textile tariffs at a summit held last week. Mexico's government supported the harmonization of steel tariffs. The move aims to bring together certain sectors where tariffs are similar.
