The Mexican government will reportedly commence an environmental audit at local ferroalloys and manganese producer Minera Autlan, according to a media report from Jornada.

The investigation follows a request of a local environmental association, which alleges the manganese producer is polluting a local river. The media report said local communities have blocked access to Minera Autlan’s mine for about three weeks. Minera Autlan said it expects to solve soon the blockade.
