Mexico opens consultation for steel plate, sheet and strip norm

Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has opened a public consultation for the PROY-NMX-B-519-CANACERO-2017 steel norm.

Interested parties may submit their suggestions within the next 60 days, according to a notice published on January 19. The PROY-NMX-B-519-CANACERO-2017 regulation sets the general requisites for steel plates, sheets, and strips.

It also applies Mexican steel norm NMX-B-508-CANACERO-2011 as well as other international foreign norms the regulation under consultation mentions.
