Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, has opened a proposed regulation for steel nails for consultation, it said on Tuesday.

According to a notice at the country’s official gazette, the PROY-NMX-B-505-CANACERO-2017 norm will replace existing regulation NMX-B-505-CANACERO-2011.

The interested parties have 60 days to submit their comments on the new regulation.

The PROY-NMX-B-505-CANACERO-2017 sets the classification, specification and probe methods for steel nails, applied manually or through the use of tolls, in a number of segments, including the civil construction sector.
